In this article, we will go over how to manage the HPC (Hosted Private Cloud) options via the OVH US Manager as well as how to access vSphere.
Overview of the HPC Manager
Let's start by going over the functionalities of HPC in your OVH US Manager. First, log into your OVH US Manager. Click on the "Hosted Private Cloud" tab on the left and select "General information", which displays details about your private cloud.
The "Data centers" tab will show you your data centers, and allow you to purchase additional host (compute resources) and data stores (storage) by clicking on the ellipses (...).
On the "Users" tab, you can create and delete users, manage your user's permissions, and change their passwords. For a robust tutorial of this, check out our Managing Users and Security with HPC article.
The "Security" tab lets you determine who you want to be able to access your HPC environment, how many simultaneous connections to allow, and the length of time before a user's connection times out. This will also be covered in more depth in the "Managing Users and Security with HPC" article.
The "Operations" tab will let you view any past, present, or future tasks that occurred or are pending on your private cloud.
Receive an email from OVH
After your HPC environment has been provisioned, you will receive an email like the following:
Use either of the links under the "Your access to VMware interfaces" section and the credential listed to log in to vSphere.
Note: If you choose to access vSphere using HTML5, please be aware that you will not have access to NSX.
Now that you have a basic understanding of the options for HPC (Hosted Private Cloud) via the OVH US Manager and how to log into vSphere you can begin managing your private cloud environment.
